Member of Lebanese Parliament


Born in Tripoli, Lebanon on March 28, 1944. He is married to Mona Sidaoui and they have 5 children.

Mr. Safadi graduated from Broumana High School (a Quaker missionary school) in 1962, acquired “A” level G.C.E.S. in London and later joined the American University of Beirut where he achieved a Bachelor degree in Business Administration in February 1968.


Currently  Member of Parliament where he holds the following responsibilities:


Member of the Finance and Budget Commission.

Member of the Economy Commission.

Head of the Lebanese – German Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

Member of the Lebanese – Kuwaiti Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

President of the Lebanese Section for the Arab Common Market.


Chairman of the SAFADI GROUP HOLDING SAL that has investments into the following fields:


Property development.



Information Technology.

Tourism (Hotels).



Founder and President of the SAFADI FOUNDATION, a non-profit NGO, that deals with social, medical, environmental and educational issues.


Also holds the following memberships:


Member of John F. Kennedy School of Government Dean’s Council (Harvard University).

Member of the American Community School at Beirut (ACS) Board of trustees.

Member of the Entrepreneurial Training Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
