Environmental training sessions for students in Al-Mina

68 students from Al-Hayat Public School visited the Environmental Protection Committee located in Al-Mina to participate in the training session organized by Safadi Foundation and the Environmental Protection Committee in cooperation with the municipality of Tripoli.

This activity is one of ten meetings aiming at increasing the awareness of public school students of environmental issues concerning water, air and waste and their role in protecting the environment. This activity is a part of the "Al-Mina island project for maritime environment" financed by The World Bank through the Council for Development and Reconstruction, which aims at improving the economic conditions of the poor areas in Al-Mina and developing the environmental tourism.
In addition, some participants will receive training in several areas such as, entertainment games for children and beach volleyball trainers.
