North Lebanon

cooperation with the Entrepreneurial Training Foundation, training
sessions on how to set up and run small projects were held for
university students in Batroun and Jbeil. The sessions assist
university students match themselves with job opportunities. Twenty
students benefited from the courses, and acquired the basic knowledge
and skills to establish and administer small projects. Computer skills
were also taught during the workshops.
Students
submit project proposals and feasibility studies in order to secure
long-term loans for small productive projects, and the Foundation
follows up training delivered in the courses by reviewing and making
recommendations on these project proposals.

sessions for high school graduates
|
Within

6. The "Students Helping Students" Program
Alongside
the final year students' sessions, the Safadi Foundation has launched
the "Students Helping Students" program that falls within the
framework of "school support" stipulated in the new educational
curricula.
The
Program is based on the Student-to-Student learning methodology. Ten
outstanding students with high school degrees have given lessons to
their classmates who need additional support in specific subjects.
The
courses were monitored by teachers who are university level
specialists in the subjects taught. Two hundred students benefited
from these courses for both exam sessions (June and September).
