Samar Boulos, who is based in Tripoli, Lebanon, was appointed General Manager of Safadi Foundation in January 2019. Previously she served as the Director of Social Development. She brings over 15 years of experience as a local development specialist with nation-wide reach, teacher and community organizer. Samar started her career at Safadi Foundation as a Senior Program Officer in the social development sector, and in 2015 she was promoted to the position of Director. In this capacity, she was responsible for setting the strategic development priorities, engaging with Lebanon's donor community, and monitoring the Foundation's service centers. In addition, Samar has been a Professor, Coach and Mentor at The Lebanese University for the past eight-years, where she specializes in helping local agents of change. She also gained grassroots experience in local governance, advocacy and organizational management. Prior to her time at Safadi Foundation, Samar was the General Manager at the Forum of Handicapped Association in North Lebanon (2003-2010). Khaled Hannouf is the Manager of Programs in the social development sector where he is committed to empowering youth to be local participating actors in their development. Khaled started his career with Safadi Foundation as a Youth Mobilizer in the Shababouna Youth Center in 2007. During this time his focus was on enhancing personal skills and protecting youth from vulnerable communities. In 2015, Khaled was promoted to his current position to help coordinate the activities of the Community Service Centers and projects with the broader objectives of the sector.
Khaled holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Lebanese University. In addition, Khaled is a real change-maker and serving his community to improve local governance. In 2010, he was the youngest elected Municipal Council Member in his district of Beddawi. One of Khaled's professional successes includes the drafting of a National Strategy for Youth In Lebanon published in 2012, part of which aims to educate lawmakers and inform policies concerning youth in Lebanon.... view more
Marwa Moulki serves as the Head of the Market Integration Unit at Safadi Foundation. She joined the social development sector in 2013, where she played a key role at the Women's Academy Center. Specifically, she focused on women's empowerment programs that elevated their decision-making capacities and enabled them to become activists within their communities. In 2016, Marwa shifted her focus to providing strategic planning of the social development units and supporting socio-economic empowerment programs through providing technical assistance to the Foundation's community centers.
Marwa is an experienced trainer for soft skills capacity building programs that include positive leadership skills, entrepreneurship & startups, team building, citizen awareness & advocacy, and debate & mediation. Prior to her time at Safadi Foundation, Marwa worked as a journalist for Enshaa where she published articles on social & cultural activities. In addition, Marwa, has worked extensively with international aid organizations, including as a Social Worker at Save the Children and a Livelihood Coordinator at ANERA.
Marwa holds a Master's Degree in social work from the Lebanese University, and she aspires to pursue post graduate-education.... view more
